About me:

I would like to take a minute of your time to share a little bit about myself and how excited I am to be your child’s principal.

Fort Morgan is where I grew up with my family, which includes my twin sister, Angie who is the fourth generation to own and operate Edwards Market and Flowerland. The business is celebrating its 86th year of operation. I am very proud of my family and their accomplishments through the years. As you can imagine, it takes many hours and a strong work ethic to run a family business. I thank my family for passing on the work ethic to my sister and me. Growing up in a family business I understand the importance of shopping and supporting the local businesses in a small town.

After graduating Fort Morgan High School, I attended the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley where I obtained my Bachelor’s degree with a Major in Math and an emphasis in Elementary Education. Starting my first three years in Fort Morgan I had a wonderful experience teaching fifth and sixth grade with some of the teachers I had while going through school. I was able to acquire my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education during those three years. My husband, Marcus Kammer, brought me to Holyoke, where I taught fifth and sixth grade for six and half years and JH math for two years. During this time, I earned my Administrative Degree through Adams State College. When an administrative position came open in the middle of the school year 2014-2015, I wanted to advance myself and took the position as the Wray Elementary School Principal. I spent the three and half years in Wray.

During the time at Wray Elementary I was able to establish a positive culture and climate among the staff that was divided for several years due to a large number of administrative turnovers. When I started my career in Wray, I was the fourth principal in two years. The scores improved and moral increased in the staff and students. To be able to work in another school district for the last three and half years has been very beneficial to learn what is required to be a successful principal. I am overjoyed to return to the Holyoke School District where my family lives and fully supports. I have a very supportive husband, Marcus Kammer, and two amazing kids, Benjamin and Aubree. I want the best for my kids as well as the students in the Holyoke School District because every child deserves the best education.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
