The Holyoke Chapter of the National Honor Society

Established 1945

Membership in the National Honor Society is both an honor, a privilege, and a responsibility. The National Honor Society is the frontrunner of organizations and societies that promote appropriate recognition for the students who reflect outstanding accomplishments in the areas of scholarship, character, leadership, and service. Thousands of schools in the United States are charter members. The Holyoke Chapter of the National Honor Society began in 1945 with the induction of twelve charter members. For more than 75 years many of Holyoke High School’s finest students have become members.
