Student at Holyoke High School participated in National World Language Week activities May 1st - 4th. To celebrate this event, students had a chance to participate in a variety of linguistic and cultural activities. Students could go above and beyond during the week and earn extra points or redemption on previous assignments.
- Say something NICE in Spanish to a teacher, staff member, or school administrator.
- Say something NICE in Spanish to a family member or friend.
- Teach a song to a willing teacher, staff member or administrator that does not speak Spanish or teach a tongue twister in Spanish.
- (REQUIRED) Paint the World Language Week design on a white t-shirt and wear it all day at school on May 4th.
- Make a slide show of a trip you have taken outside of the United States.
- Make a video of you making a recipe from a Spanish speaking country
- Compete during the final celebration during World Language Day
- France: Waiter's Relay Race
- Germany: Stein Holding Competition
- Mexico: El Grito
