Holyoke Chamber of Commerce in recognizing students who go above and beyond in their efforts to RISE to Excellence.
The following students have been selected for September Students of the Month.
Junior High: Lili Vasquez
Lili was nominated by multiple classmates. They feel that Lili should be student of the month because she has a good work ethic and she never settles for good; she wants to be great. She also helps a lot of people and does many school activities.
Senior High School: Michelle Espinal
Michelle was nominated by Mrs. HInes. Michelle is such a hard working, driven student. Even in her senior year, she is taking lots of classes along with her internship. I am lucky enough to have her in multiple classes this year. She is always positive, by encouraging her group members and other classmates. She also asks great questions and truly wants to think deeply about the content. She is a high achieving student and holds herself to high standards. She is exactly the type of student and person I want my younger students to look up to. Michelle is highly deserving of student of the month.
Additionally, in conjunction with the Elementary and Jr./Sr. High School's Youth Connection work and the Board of Education's desire to recognize students at board meetings that demonstrate exceptional academics and behavior a Dragon Coin was designed by the administration to be given to students each month at a school board meeting.
