The Holyoke Elementary Staff hosted an amazing Family Night with parents and students, There were over 130 children from preschool to high school ages present to go along with almost 100 adults to accompany them. With this being the first time the Elementary School hosted an event like this the administration and staff were pleased with the turn out.
Mrs. Kammer would like to thank all the parents and students who showed up for Family Night. The participants were able to visit three stations to get more information about reading, math, and the NWEA test. It is her sincere desire that everyone was able to have an enjoyable time because the staff enjoyed hosting you. She would also like to thank you for your continued support and efforts to help make your child a successful student.
Family Night was the product of work done by staff members making up the school's "CORE" team. They spent time over the summer working on ways to help increase test scores and parent involvement. Without their idea, this event would never have happened.
At the end of the evening, there were door prizes and ice cream sandwiches for those who attended. The school would like to thank Mrs. Daniel and the students that she works with through the Youth Connection program for helping to secure the funding for the door prizes and ice cream sandwiches.
Family Night would not have happened without the dedicated educators who gave of their time. They created the questions, games, and informational packets for the event. They made themselves available to families during the evening. The entire school district is fortunate to have a dedicated, caring, and loving staff who want to do what is best for the students as is evidenced by the staff present at Family Night.
