Holyoke High School and Elementary teachers participated in Visible Learning training on Monday, October 16. Visible Learning is about getting students to own education and really become a learner.  Steven Ventura came and spoke to the teachers. Mrs. Ortner, principal of HHS, hopes to apply Visible Learning more after discussion with the staff. At the moment, it is already being used in the school in places like the A.O.C. Mrs. Ortner’s favorite part of the Visible Learning training was learning how to engage in teaching strategies. She called it “the most interesting” part of the day. Overall, Visible Learning has shown promise, and teachers are looking forward to more trainings about it in November and January.
