Ultimate Celebration Gifted & Talented Event
Students from Holyoke Elementary attended the Ultimate Celebration with the theme Celebrating Space Exploration on Friday, February 9 at NJC.

Workshops  Included:

Portable Planetarium,  students experienced the night sky to identify celestial objects.

\r\n

 Living in Space,  students learned about what it is like to live at the International Space Station.

\r\n

\r\n

\r\n

Paper Rockets, students created and launched rockets and  then made modifications to their designs to reach the targets.

\r\n

\r\n

 Training Like an Astronaut, students participated in relays to test their balance and develop lung capacity.

\r\n

\r\n

Build a Rover, students used Legos, gear drives and transmissions to create their own unique Mars rover.

\r\n

GT specialist Miranda Harper spoke to parents about overexcitabilities in gifted students.
