Junior High -Colby Weber
Colby was nominated by 2 of his schoolmates as well as Mrs. Brown. Those nominations read, "I am honored to nominate Colby Weber for Student of the Month. Colby exhibits exemplary character and work ethic. Colby's leadership skills are evident to his peers and teachers, both in and out of the classroom. He is dependable, kind and generous. His capacity to go the extra mile truly is a gift he possesses. It is a joy to experience Colby's thirst for knowledge and respect for those around him. On top of all of this, he leads with a smile and a great sense of humor. Colby is a great example of Holyoke Junior High's R.I.S.E. Challenge."
\r\n"Colby is a great friend who helps out anyone who needs it and works hard to RISE to Excellence."
\r\nHigh School - Chance Lindstrom
Chance was nominated by Mrs. Kleve and a fellow schoolmate. Those Nominations read, "Chance is a great helper to most people. He always goes above and beyond what is asked of him. For example, he worked the FCCLA dinner at a game, but stayed for at least an hour past his time to leave to help clean up the warming kitchen for the next day. He is always the first one to volunteer when one is asked for and will go out of his way to help others. Chance has a smile for everyone and is one of the most generous people I know."
\r\n"He is always so so sweet to everyone. He is a very quiet but hard worker. He gets all of his school work done and with his extra time helps other students and teachers when they need help. He never starts anything as in gets in arguments, he is very patient. Whenever you need a hug or just someone to talk to and have them listen he is ALWAYS there for you! He is very understanding and I think shows great RISE throughout every school day. He is what it means to be a Dragon. "
