For the first time, Holyoke fifth and sixth grade students had the opportunity to elect representatives for student government. In order to run for office, each student had to write their own speech about how they can contribute to our school and make it a better place than it already is. All students who gave a speech did a wonderful job and we are so proud of them. Each classroom conducted an election to choose two peers to represent their homeroom. The Student Council had their first meeting on Wednesday, December 19th, and they were given the task to create a skit showing behavior expectations, which will be recorded and distributed to all of our elementary classrooms. We are excited to work with this bunch of students! Mrs. Kathleen Kropp and Mrs. Andrea Kammer are staff meeting with the Student Council.
