Pastries with Parents & Friday Read-a-thon

Friday morning parents came to school to enjoy pastries with their children, and celebrate the joy of reading.  Fifth and sixth-grade student council members prepared donuts and juice.

Thanks to the many parents who participated, and to the family members who encourage reading at home!

A school-wide Read-a-thon was the final activity for our 2019 Read Across America Week. Students lined the halls to read a book and enjoy a snack Friday afternoon. It was a fun conclusion, and a reminder to students that if we know how to read, we can use that skill to learn everything else.
