Mrs. Nelsonās 7th Grade Junior Achievement class recently had an opportunity to start preparing for work someday. Students completed job applications, resumes, and cover letters, and then did mock interviews with prospective employers.
Employers helping with the project by grading the studentsā materials and interviewing the students included Dave Hensley, manager of Ballyneal; Jody Fiscus, owner of The Oak Tree; Jill Fiedler, manager of The Marketplace; and Megan Sprague, Human Relations Manager at Melissa Memorial Hospital.
The students interviewed one-on-one with the employers, with the top entry from each group going into the final round with a panel of all four interviewers. The top four entrants consisted of Carlos Moreno, Ben Kleve, Matthew Murray, and Tyler Bergstrom. And the student that āgot the jobā was Ben Kleve.
